A modern, veg-led, sharing plates restaurant sitting on the banks of Bristol’s historic harbour on Wapping Wharf. Opening in 2017, owners Josh Eggleton (The Pony Group) and Luke Hasell (Story Butchers / Valleyfest) wanted to create a forward-thinking restaurant that championed local suppliers and producers, and led with a 'more veg, less meat' ethos.
In December 2022, our sister restaurant opened in Wells, Somerset. After the success of Root (Bristol), Head Chef Rob Howell and Group Manager Meg Oakley wanted to bring a neighbourhood restaurant to their home town. You’ll find the restaurant situated in the heart of the city, just a stones throw from the Cathedral.
